Technical features
Data structure
Entity-relationship based data structure allows one to avoid redundancy in the database: the bibliographic records refer to various authority files, e.g. Authors, Corporate Authors, Publishers, thesauri, classification schemes, etc. It drastically reduces the work load when you make data entry and improves the quality of your data.
User interface
Fully parametrized pull-down menu, with the possibility to define a specific menu for given user groups.
Data entry/update:
To get a brief idea on how it works see some screens.
Two options are available
Now also WINISIS can be used as OPAC.
Access control
The access is controlled by a special USERS database, where each system
user has to be registered a priori by the database manager. The
record contains User Id, password, group code, etc. Each user group can
access only a specific part of the LIS functions. One can define a guest
user with no password.
