Main Activities

ICIE carries out research and application activities in the following fields:

• systems evaluation and analysis;
• audit of information infrastructure of organizations;
• re-engineering of information infrastructure of organizations;
• design and implementation of intranets;
• establishment of www and other Internet servers for organizations;
• interfacing companies' databases with www servers;
• design and implementation of databases and information systems, including applications of Micro-CDS/ISIS and commercially available shells such as Informix, Oracle, Sybase, Access, SQL Server, etc.;
• design and implementation of knowledge information systems;
• use of information systems, in particular navigation and retrieval within the Internet, on-line (e.g. DIALOG) and CD-ROM databases;
• programming in Micro-CDS/ISIS Pascal, C, C++, Java;
• design and implementation of multimedia databases;
• design and implementation of integrated library management systems;
• design, implementation and management of multilingual thesauri systems;
• training (in the aforementioned topics).
